From Prodiel, we are looking for a GIS Engineer that will work closely with Project Developers on the origination of the PV projects until the hand over to final investor. He/she will have the responsibility to manage, sort, maintain GIS database, build the best knowledge database, find innovative solutions to spot suitable areas to develop solar energy. The GIS Engineer will work with Country Manager and participate with overall strategy. The candidate will join the department that is exclusively dedicated to develop new solar PV projects and will report directly to the Country Manager. Prodiel has developed solar PV projects for more than 15 years and currently has a team of 40 people dedicated to the development of a large pipeline of projects mainly in Spain. Responsibilities This position will require to: 1. Acquire, build, store the company GIS data 2. Analyze, use the data to provide suitable area for PV projects and exchange with project developers 3. Provides restrictions maps/layouts for internal or external use. 4. Create a database to follow the development of projects on different aspects (GIS, admin, finance…) 5. Be a central service provider for different tasks of the development and exchange with other GIS engineer within the group in other countries. The position will be based in Berlin, Germany. Experience · 3-5 years of experience in a similar position in an international / national company in the renewable energy sector. · Experience in team leadership and management. · Successful track record of projects and a good network within the local Solar industry is a best. Education Essential: Bachelor degree (or higher) is required in GIS field Technical Knowledge · GIS software (ArcGIS, Qgis) · Database management (SQL, Access, CRM) · Programming proficiency (Python, Java, Javascript…) · Microsoft Office 365.
