THE POSITION The Remote Sensing Technician will be attached to the French subsidiary where the company is piloting global commercial remote sensing activities. As a Remote Sensing Technician, you will work closely with our commercial team to ensure the technical requirements of the client request are taken into account and ensure a smooth technical operation from the satellite imagery order until the imagery product delivery. Your main tasks include: - provide technical support in qualifying technical requirement of client enquiries in satellite imagery - carry out satellite imagery processing and monitor satellite imagery and product - carry out quality control on the satellite imagery - in charge of satellite product delivery to the client - manage our satellite imagery database and our cloud platform REQUIRED EXPERIENCE & SKILLS - Bsc degree or MSc in Remote Sensing, Photogrammetry, Geomatics, Geographic and Geoinformatics. - Minimum 2 years working experiences of relevant experiences - Experience in satellite imagery processing, analysis or photogrammetry - Excellent skills in satellite imagery processing (ERDAS, ENVI, SNAP and Python basic scripting) - Good knowledge in GIS Web Services (QGIS, ArcMap, Leaflet, OGC) - Languages: Excellent English, written and verbal communication skills. Knowledge of another language (e.g.: Arabic, Chinese, Spanish) is an asset. DESIREABLE SKILLS - Good knowledge of commercial remote sensing industry - Good knowledge of image processing algorithms for optical remote sensing system - Experience working with hyperspectral data - Personal skillset: drive for continuous learning, sense of responsibility, ability to work in a multicultural environment; team player; ability to commit and deliver results.
