We also have a branch based in Sophia-Antipolis, France. Our clients include the European Space Agency (ESA) as well as the European Commission. We are currently involved with Copernicus missions (Sentinel-2 and Sentinel-3), several marine litter detection projects as well as Horizon2020 project. We collaborate with various research institutes, private companies and independent consultants, located across Europe, on many of our projects. Summary of the role: We are currently recruiting a developer intern for the validation for our Satellite derived bathymetry products. This is a three months internship, working from our Plymouth office in South Devon. Satellite derived bathymetry has been developed to survey water depths and other seabed characteristics by measuring the reflectance of the sea bottom extracted from the upwelling light signal. ARGANS is looking to develop their own software for satellite derived bathymetry by incorporating a new statistical estimation of seabed detection. ARGANS is currently involved in a range of SDB projects working closely with international hydrographic offices to develop and push the boundaries of modern SDB. The intern will work with our SDB team in Plymouth in the development of a statistic evaluation of detection methods used in seabed classification.
