Description As a survey engineer you will join the Geodetic Metrology group at CERN, where you will take part in the metrology and alignment of a wide variety of components used in the particle accelerators. You will be using state-of-the-art surveying tools and software to achieve the sub-millimetre accuracy necessary to achieve our goals. Specifically, you will: - Perform the alignment of various accelerators components in the injector complex and LHC tunnel, ensure the maintenance of the related geodetic networks; - Perform metrology measurements at all stages during the assembly of accelerator components using laser trackers; - Perform and compute "as built" measurements of tunnels and buildings of HL-LHC project using the laser scanner technology; - Write the corresponding survey reports, and manage the relevant documentation; - Improve and optimize related survey procedures, methods and software. Eligibility criteria: - You are a national of a CERN Member or Associate Member State. - By the application deadline, you have a maximum of two years of professional experience since graduation in Survey engineering (or a related field) and your highest educational qualification is either a Bachelor's or Master's degree.
